Planned and organized by the Academic Affairs Office, the Second English Speech Competition of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University wrapped up on October 11.

The competition has attracted a considerable number of students from all grades and programs to participate. Candidates were required to prepare and make a three-minute speech under the topic of “Challenge to All”in a bid to fully show their English proficiency and their critical thinking ability.

In fluent English, many of the candidates shared their inspiring thoughts about the Covid-19 pandemic that swept across the globe since the start of this year as well as uprising challenges the global crisis has brought along.

Two candidates with top results were nominated to take part in the Guangdong session ofthe 2020 "FLTRP·ETIC Cup" English Public Speaking Contest, an annual nation-wide English speech competition, next month on behalf of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University.
