SMBU’s center for comparative law approved to be SZ’s key research base

On November 24, the Russian-Sino Centre for Comparative Law Shenzhen MSU-BIT University received an official plaque from the Shenzhen government and recognized as one of the city’s key humanities and social science research bases.

A granting ceremony was organized at the 12thShenzhen Academic Annual Meeting Theme Seminar which SMBU’s Rector Professor Li Hezhang was invited to attend. Wang Qiang, head of Shenzhen Publicity Department, granted the plaque to the Russian-Sino Centre for Comparative Law Shenzhen MSU-BIT University during the Annual Meeting.

The University’s First Vice Rector Sergey Shakhray, who proposed to establish the research center, is also the director of the newly-inaugurated research center.

The Russian-Sino Centre for Comparative Law Shenzhen MSU-BIT University aims to become a world-leading research center for comparative law and gather top-notch Russian and Chinese legal experts and high-level law practitioners. The research center will conduct researches to probe into theoretical and practical problems in the field of comparative law in Russia and China, serve to strengthen ties between the two nations as well as cultivate high-end talents for Shenzhen.
