    ​The Fifth International Conference on “Current Trends and Achievements in Life Science” Successfully Held at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University

    From October 24 to 25, the Fifth International Conference on “Current Trends and Achievements in Life Science” was successfully held at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University. The event brought together over a hundred experts, young scholars, and outstanding students from various biological fields, including academicians and researchers from the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow University, St. Petersburg State University, the University of Hong Kong, Beijing Institute of Technology, Yunnan University, the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and more than ten local universities and research institutions in Shenzhen. This year’s conference featured a plenary session and four thematic sub-forums.

    Sergey Ivanchenco, First Vice President of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of open scientific dialogue and encouraging participants to “actively ask questions, share unique experiences, and explore truth through academic debate.”

    The plenary session showcased an impressive lineup of speakers, including Foreign Academician Zhang Hucai of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Corresponding Academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences Ekaterina Andreyevna Vorotelyak, Konstantin Anatolyevich Miroshnikov, Denis Valeryevich Abramochkin, Professor Gao Ang from the School of Life Sciences at Beijing Institute of Technology, and Professor Vasily Mikhailovich Studitsky, Director of the Laboratory of Transcription and Replication Regulation at Moscow University’s Department of Biology.

    Shenzhen, as a pioneering city in innovation and technological breakthroughs, provided an ideal platform for exploring cutting-edge concepts in the life sciences. The sub-forums focused on frontier topics in structural biology, biomedical research, and ecology, while the forum on marine biology and bioresources is scheduled for November 5.

    During these sessions, over 30 outstanding young faculty members and doctoral students from Shenzhen MSU-BIT University presented academic reports and engaged in lively discussions around the conference themes. Additionally, the conference featured a poster session, with more than 40 students from Shenzhen MSU-BIT University showcasing their research achievements.

    At the closing ceremony, Andrey Vladimirovich Kitashov, Chair of the Department of Biology at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, delivered a summary speech and announced the winners of the Best Presentation and Best Academic Poster awards.
