1.About SMBU

Shenzhen MSU-BIT University (SMBU) is a non-profit Chinese-foreign cooperative university jointly founded by the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) with an independent legal entity status.

2. Qualification

（1）The applicant must be high school graduate who is non-Chinese citizen aged between 18 and 25 with valid foreign passport and in physically and mentally health. The applicant under 18  must  submit a guarantee letter from applicant’s guardians in Guangdong,China  

（2）The applicant must meet the requirements of Document (JW [2020] No. 12 ) issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China。

（3）The applicant  comply with the laws and regulations of China and the regulations of SMBU.

3. Programs

University runs three undergraduate programs taught in English in Economics and Trade .Biology, Finance and Chinese program. No matter what program you choose to study at SMBU, you can be sure that you are laying a strong foundation and geting the cross disciplinary  knowledge for your future career. Our academics will help you gain valuable skills relevant for many fast-developping industries.

4. Required Application Materials

The following documents will need to be sent along with the application:

(1) Application Form 2023(Please register at https://szmsubit.17gz.org）

(2) Scanned color copy of Passport (photo page) confirming applicant’s identity and nationality

(3) Scanned color copy of the high school certification and transcript in PDF

(4) Passport Photo in JPEG, 30mm*40mm, 200px*280px, no more than 30kb

(5) CV

(6)English Language Requirement for Programs Taught in English : ITELS>=5.5 or TOELF >=85. (In the absence of a certificate, the applicant must take an English language examination administered by the University)

(7) Foreigner Physical Examination Record

(8) Additional documents upon request.

5.Application Procedure

(1) Applicant registers at https://szmsubit.17gz.org.

(2) University reviews the application documents.

6. Application Deadline

7. Entrance examination

English* means English examination exempted if applicant meets English Language Requirement.

Examination date ：

Mathematics – 22 July, 2023, 15:00 (Beijing time)

English – 21 July, 2023, 20:00 (Beijing time)

Biology (interview) – 18 July, 2023, 15:00 (Beijing time)

All examinations will be hold on line.

8. Enrollment

Candidates will be enrolled to SMBU upon fulfillment of all necessary conditions, including submitting necessary documents and paying tuition fee for the first year of studies to SMBU.

9. Finance

(1) Tuition fee: CNY 40000/ year.

(2) Accommodation: CNY1600 /person / year.(shared room for 4 students)

(3) Meals on campus: CNY2000--3000 / month

(4) Insurance: CNY800/ year

10. Scholarship

(1)Gongdong Provinc Scholarship

Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship:

  CNY10000 per year

(2)Shengzhen Municipal Government Scholarship

Shenzhen Universiade Scholarship: CNY 40000 per year.

(3)SMBU level scholarship

-University Freshman Scholarship

-Academic scholarship

-SMBU Star scholarship

-Food allowance: CNY330/ month (ten months per year )

-Scholarships donated by companies
