SMBU inks deals with ASRMS to promote language programs

On behalf of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, Rector Li Hezhang signed deals with Alliance of Sino-Russian Middle Schools on December 25 in Harbin city of Helongjiang Province, in a bid to promote Chinese and Russian language teaching and learning programs as well as to cultivate talents that could potentially contribute into Sino-Russian relationship.

Based on the deals, SMBU will provide training of Chinese and Russian language to teachers registered at the ASRMS to improve their language proficiency and teaching methods. Meanwhile, the University will organize national Russian language contests for middle-school students, seminars of Russian language teaching, winter and summer camps and some other events. The ASRMS, at the same time, will assist to promote the University at middle schools across China and Russia

After the signing ceremony, Rector Li Hezhang presented a memorial plaque to Harbin No.6 Middle School on behalf of SMBU to thank them for sending outstanding students to attend the University over the past years.

Apart from signing the deals, the University delegation also participated in the alliance’s annual meeting and attended first National Russian Contest for Middle School Students. The Dean of SMBU’s Faculty of Philology delivered an academic seminar to some contestants.

Rector Li Hezhang also visited Harbin Nangang Middle School and communicated with teachers and students to learn about the Russian language programs in the school.
