On September 5, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University welcomed 270 new graduate students from China and 228 international students from around the world. Arriving with high hopes and aspirations, the students officially began their journey at SMBU. The campus was filled with youthful energy as these bright new faces gathered, bringing fresh vitality and spirit to the university community.

To ensure a smooth start for all newcomers, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University carried out careful planning and organization. Welcome stations were set up across campus, including the gymnasium and student dormitories, to assist with registration, housing check-in, and a variety of student services. For both graduate and international students, the university continued its “one-stop registration” system. Upon arrival, students could quickly obtain their campus ID cards, medical examination forms, and complete dormitory check-in simply by presenting valid identification.

President Li Hezhang warmly greeted and engaged with students and faculty members at the welcome event.

At the registration sites, faculty members from various departments and centers, along with upperclassmen volunteers, were ready early to warmly welcome new students, provide guidance, and answer questions, ensuring a smooth and orderly registration process. Staff from the Admissions Office and Academic Affairs Department also offered face-to-face consultations, explaining academic programs, course selection procedures, and other matters of concern. The university further provided convenient services such as “green channels” to assist students with special needs. Each new student also received a thoughtful and practical “welcome package,” designed to make them feel at home from the very first day.

This year, in addition to its existing master’s programs, the university introduced three new concentrations: Educational Management, Fundamental Teacher Education, and Cross-Cultural International Communication. With these additions, the number of master’s programs jointly offered with Moscow State University has grown to 20. All programs strictly adhere to MSU’s academic standards, with the goal of cultivating high-level talent equipped with a global perspective.
