Recently, two academic papers completed by undergraduate students from the Faculty of Economics at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University (SMBU) have been accepted for presentation at the 51st Annual Conference of the European International Business Academy (EIBA). One paper, authored by Economics major Geng Yifei under the guidance of faculty members, and another co-authored by International Economics and Trade majors Ren Zixuan, Xu Xinyue, Huang Xuanhao, and Pan Yuqi, will be presented at the conference in December. This marks the first time undergraduate students from SMBU have been invited to present at the EIBA Annual Conference, representing a significant milestone for the university’s Faculty of Economics on the international academic stage.

Founded in 1974, EIBA is one of the world’s oldest and most influential academic organizations in the field of international business. Its flagship annual event, the Conference of the European International Business Academy, stands among the top-tier global academic conferences in this discipline. Now in its 51st edition, the conference gathers renowned scholars, doctoral students, and industry representatives from dozens of countries to share cutting-edge research and exchange innovative ideas. The acceptance of two undergraduate papers from SMBU underscores the students’ growing research capability, international perspective, and academic creativity.

In recent years, the Faculty of Economics at SMBU has leveraged the university’s internationalized education model to cultivate students with strong academic foundations and global vision. It has fostered an academic atmosphere that values both research innovation and practical exploration. This achievement not only reflects the intellectual curiosity and academic progress of SMBU students but also demonstrates the Faculty’s solid foundation in talent development and research excellence.

Looking ahead, the Faculty of Economics will continue to encourage and support students in showcasing their talents on high-level international platforms, embracing new challenges, and honing their skills through research and practice. By doing so, it aims to further enhance SMBU’s reputation and influence in the international academic community of business studies—writing a new and inspiring chapter in the story of SMBU students.
